What’s Worth Saving?

They say that emotional disconnect is the first step to the death of a marriage.

So, how much time do you give to your spouse? How much of your weekly diary has sacred times allotted to refreshing your marriage?

In the same way, how much time and effort do you set aside to spend time with each child?

I don’t mean time spent to do homework but to do the precious “heart work” of loving, knowing and journeying with each child as they navigate the complex challenges of growing up.

All over the world, marriages and families are under assault. This is now compounded by the digital age which confuses reality with virtuality.

We truly need God’s love, wisdom and power to face and triumph over the many sided attacks on God’s design of family.

By God’s grace, I had the great honor and joy to share at the Focus on the Family’s “State of the Family” conference.

It was heart warming to see so many pastors, leaders and family champions there – each sincerely seeking to do our little part to save families.

Providentially, we held our English Presbytery (EP) Family Conference last weekend.

I thank all who turned up from our EP churches and ARPC. I pray for the many lessons imparted to take root in our hearts.

We had four good speakers giving us nuggets on ministering to different age groups.

Dr Calvin Chong shared 8 observations of ministry to our seniors.

Best selling author and international teen coach, Daniel Wong, shared three paradigm shifts to help teens flourish.

Prof Suzanne Choo was inspiring with the one takeaway to be better parents while “Unlocking ADHD” founder, Moonlake Lee, touched hearts with her testimony about her personal journey.

Let us humbly seek God to save the things of God that truly matter for all eternity – our relationships, marriages and families.

Praying & Serving our Families,
Pastor Chris Chia
