Though our church services have been suspended, however our ministry of prayer must continue ever more strongly!
H – Hearing God’s Word
O – Obeying God’s Will
W – Worshipping God all the Way
Pray for our government and the authorities God has set over us.
Pray for our PM, cabinet ministers, permanent secretaries and public service.
Pray for Ministers Lawrence Wong & Gan Kim Yong who are leading the COVID task force.
Read 1 Timothy 2:1-7.
Pray by turning God’s Word into God’s will.
May we make praying for authorities our Christian ministry and duty. Why?
This pleases God, brings about a peaceful and orderly life & facilitates our evangelism.
Pray for God’s servants in the last line of defence (our healthcare workers, doctors, nurses, administrators, cleaners, canteen staff), our unseen enforcers (contact tracers, police force, SHN enforcers) and civil servants (crafting & implementing policies for our people). Pray for many in ARPC who are serving in these essential services.
Name and pray specifically for our ARPC members whom you know before God.
Read Romans 13:1-5 and Colossians 3:23.
Thank God for appointing those in position or uniform who are “God’s servants” to dispense limited but prevenient law and order in our fallen world. Pray for these, God’s servants, who are serving God with all their hearts (Colossians 3:17, 23-24).
Pray for God’s comfort for those who have lost loved ones.
Pray for the healing of the infected and those recovering from COVID-19.
Pray for loved ones who are sick and those recovering from other illnesses.
Name them specifically before God.
Read Psalm 27.
Pray to experience God as our light, salvation and stronghold. Pray to know the goodness of being strong in our hearts as we wait upon the Lord.
Pray for poor nations and persecuted Christians, whose plight and suffering will be exacerbated by COVID-19. Pray for those who have little or no means to protect and provide for themselves in this COVID pandemic.
Pray for the economic “victims” affected by loss of jobs, closure of businesses and disruption of life. Pray for the 300,000 Malaysians workers in many of our backbone services in factories, SMEs, restaurants, construction & services. Pray for their safety, accommodation and health.
Read Matthew 5:1-12.
Pray for the powerless and voiceless in our nation and around the world. Ask how we can personally be used as God’s “good Samaritans” in our day-to-day circumstances and divine appointments.
Pray for the vulnerable people during COVID-19 – our elderly loved ones, those with pre- existing illnesses and families with special needs.
Read 1 Timothy 5:1-8.
Pray and ask God for wisdom and heart to relate to one another as God’s family.
Pray for our mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Pray for God’s Spirit and Word to turn negative “cabin fever” to constructive “cabin love” experiences.
Pray for our Mental Wellness Ministry’s “Q&A Webinar” that seeks to minister to people during this “shut-in” experience.

Pray for our pastors, elders, deacons, DG & ministry leaders. Pray for our missionaries. Pray for me!
